Friday 19 December 2025 Staff Christmas Sing Along On the final day of term, our staff came together in festive spirit to sing and announce the winner of the staff raffle, generously donated by the Kerr family. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of a busy term and share some seasonal cheer. All our staff would like to wish our pupils and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Friday 19 December 2025 Lapland Visit Some of our pupils were lucky to be afforded the opportunity to visit Lapland with their families for a very special day with N.I. Children to Lapland trust. What a magical experience.

Friday 19 December 2025 Staff Christmas Lunch This year, staff enjoyed their Christmas lunch in smaller groups due to the ongoing school building works. Despite the changes, it was a lovely afternoon and an opportunity to come together, share some festive cheer, and celebrate the Christmas season.

Thursday 18 December 2025 Christmas Play Day 2025 Our primary pupils had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas Play Day. The pupils enjoyed exploring a range of festive, sensory-themed trays designed to spark curiosity and creativity. The activities encouraged hands-on learning through touch, sight and sound, creating a calm and engaging experience for all. It was a joyful day filled with festive fun, smiles and meaningful play. Wednesday 17 December 2025 Navan Walk Charity Donations Our amazing Staff Team completed a sponsored walk/run as part of the Navan Run in October. We were delighted to welcome three incredible local charities and present to each of them a cheque for £1182.38 each to support them in the delivery of their work. Thank you to all those friends and family who sponsored our school team and contributed to their fundraising efforts. The three charities who staff selected this year were: KBRT, Air Ambulance NI & Chest Heart & Stroke NI.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 Food Bank Donation 2025 Thanks to the generous donations of our school community of staff and parents, we delivered over 110kg of donations to Armagh Foodbank. Thank you to all who donated to the collection, which will go local families who will benefit greatly.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 AIC group donation We recently welcomed representatives from AIC Group, who presented the school with an incredibly generous cheque, which will be spent on our pupils in the New Year. We are indebted to them for their continued generosity and support for our school.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 Classy Crafts 2025 Pupils from our Post-16 Young Enterprise company, Classy Crafts getting ready for their recent Craft Fair which was held on Tuesday 9th December. The event was a huge success and the pupils enjoyed the final showcase of their hard work. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and for your continued support.

Monday 15 December 2025 Nursery Rhyme Week Key stage 1 & 2 classes took part in Nursery rhyme week 10th-14th November, always a fun-filled week with many activities.

Friday 12 December 2025 Jingle & Mingle On Thursday 11th December we welcomed parents and carers who visited classes to take part in our Christmas Jingle and Mingle event. Parents were welcomed by our Post-16 Young Enterprise company, Classy Crafts who were selling products made for their recent Craft Fair. After a cup of tea, class staff brought parents to the classrooms where they took part in a range of fun activities with their children. It was a great success, especially given our space constraints during our building works. Thank you to all who attended and also for the positive feedback in relation to the event.

Wednesday 10 December 2025 Daily Mile Santa Walk All of our classes took part in the Daily Mile Santa Walk Todd week. Despite aiming to complete the walk last Friday, the weather beat us and classes have been completing their own walks over the last few days. An important part of the day for all our pupils, it provides a great opportunity to recalibrate and also catch up with friends from other classes before tackling activities in the classroom.

Tuesday 9 December 2025 Inclusive Ability Trust Donation Parents and representatives from The Inclusive Ability Trust came to school and very kindly donated 4 Outdoor Communication Boards for us to use in our playgrounds throughout the school. Our pupils will benefit from accessing such boards even while outside in our playground areas. Thank you to The Inclusive Ability Trust for thinking of us as always in supporting our pupils.

Tuesday 9 December 2025 A Special Visitor On Monday 8th December we welcomed Santa into school! He greeted all of our Primary Classes in our school Grotto, before visiting all of our senior classes. Santa presented a selection box or other suitable gifts to every pupil and we thank O'Kanes, Armagh for their support in helping Santa!!

Monday 8 December 2025 STEM Week 2025 November 17th – 21st we celebrated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Week in school. We took part in a ‘Go Fly Your Kite' workshop with George and Glenn, where we made kites and watched a video about the moon landing. We hope you enjoy flying your child's kite with them on a good windy day! We also completed an orienteering activity around the main school building where we had to locate the different planets and do activities or exercises at each space station! For example, we were launching rockets and measuring how far they could fly, we did some star jumps and moon walking too!

Friday 28 November 2025 Anti Bullying Week During the week beginning 10th November, we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week with a variety of fun and meaningful activities focused on kindness and respect. Throughout the week, we explored ways to support and uplift one another, reinforcing the importance of positive relationships. We concluded the celebrations with Odd Socks Day on Friday—a vibrant reminder that our differences make us unique and should be celebrated.Anti-Bullying Week is closely linked to our Rights Respecting values, particularly:• Article 2 – Non-discrimination• Article 12 – Respect for the views of the child• Article 19 – Protection from violence, abuse, and neglectThese principles underpin our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone.
