REMEMBERENCE DAY
On Tuesday 11th November, our school came together to mark Remembrance Day with thoughtful and creative activities. Pupils decorated poppies, listened to moving stories, and crafted their own wreaths as a tribute to those who served and sacrificed. This important day connects to our Rights Respecting School values, particularly:
• Article 38 – Protection in times of armed conflict
Governments must ensure that children under 15 do not take part in war or join the armed forces, and must do everything possible to protect and care for children affected by war and conflict.
By reflecting on these principles, we help our pupils understand the importance of peace, safety, and respect for human rights.
