Class 8

Welcome to our nurture classroom known as The Oak Room. Here we have a have an active and energetic learning environment where each child learns through structured hands-on experiences, whether that be learning through social interactions, independent discovery, group sessions or one-to-one activities. We have a busy timetable set out for the year ahead full of various activities designed to stimulate, challenge, and engage each child’s individuality. We cover all areas of the Key Stage Two curriculum from Numeracy and Literacy lessons to P.E, Art, Music, ICT as well as Structured Play.

As a class team, we strive to promote independence by developing their Personal Capabilities, their Thinking Skills and their Social Emotional understanding in everything we do. Some of our favourite activities include, sensory circuit, outdoor learning, circle time, sensory play and of course our Free Choice time.

There are 2 pupils in The Oak Room. We have 3 classroom assistants: Aoife, Martin and Lorena. Our teacher is Mr Ryan Rafferty. Keep checking back in as we look forward to keeping you updated with all current activities and events happening throughout this school year!
