Class 5

The pupils in class 5 have made a great start to the new school  year and have been working hard since their return to school. They have settled in well and are becoming familiar with our daily schedule and routines. We are a class of 5 boys and 2 girls.

The teacher is Mrs Donnelly and our assistants are Joanne, Caoimhe and Kerry/Ann. To date, we have been focussing on the theme of ‘Home and Family’. The children have been learning all about different types of houses and homes in other parts of the world and in different climates.

The boys and girls have enjoyed lots of nice activities, with ‘Relax Kids’ being a firm favourite in Class 5. We look forward to our weekly trip to the Library where the children have the freedom to enjoy the books in whatever way they choose. The children have produced some lovely self-portraits to decorate our ‘Amazing Art’ wall. 

At the moment we are encouraging the children to observe our natural environment and discuss all the things that tell us that Autumn has arrived!  

Our Class Charter for the year reads “Children see magic because they look for it”. We hope that all our lovely boys and girls will have a magical year in Class 5.
