Class 3

Class 3 is a Key Stage 1 classroom consisting of 4 boys and four girls. Our staff team includes Miss Mallon, Ellie, Michelle and Bethany. In class 3 pupils engage in a range of practical and activity-based learning opportunities. Curricular concepts are modelled by staff and further developed through indoor and outdoor learning, play-based activity, group work, independent work and multisensory activities. 

Staff encourage and foster the use of appropriate communication and language during everyday activities and opportunities by using a Total Communication approach. Tasks are developed with each individual pupil’s PLP in mind and staff focus not only on the teaching and learning of curricular concepts, but also on the development of each child’s personal development for mutual understanding and their thinking skills and personal capabilities. We foster this through a routine and predictable timetable with the inclusion of activities such as Attention Autism, TACPAC, Sensory Circuits and Sensory Stories.
